Lectures:
In T2 on Mondays and in T1 on Tuesdays at 10-12 o'clock (from 21 January to 4 March 2008, no lecture on 28-29 January).
Problem sessions:
In T3 on Tuesdays at 12-14 o'clock (from 23 January to 5 March 2008)
Requirements:
Examination and term project.
Prerequisites:
Basic mathematics and probability courses (Mat-1.1010, Mat-1.1020, Mat-1.1031/1032 and Mat-1.2600/2620; or equivalent), basics of programming (T-106.1200/1203/1206/1207 or equivalent).
Literature:
Ware, 2004. Information Visualization: Perception for Design, 2nd edition. Morgan Kaufmann. About half of he course will be based on the Ware's book. Additionally, there is some recommended reading and some useful material, such as copies of the slides, that can be downloaded from the course web site.
Language:
English.

The lectures and problem sessions take place in the Computer Science Building (Konemiehentie 2, Espoo) during the Spring (Period III) 2008 semester. The first lecture will take place in the lecture hall T2 on 21 January 2008 beginning at 10:15.

The Ware's book can be borrowed from the TKK library, or bought, for example, from Yliopistokirjakauppa in Otaniemi.

The 2008 course will be very similar to the 2007 course. More information will appear to this page later.
