PAPER SUBMISSION
The deadline for the submission of all final camera-ready materials
  is April 1, 2011.

The WSOM 2011 proceedings will be published in the Springer
   Lecture Notes in Computer
Science (LNCS) series. The length of the published papers
will be up to 8-10 pages (with references included; always an even
    number of pages).

Either use the pre-filled LNCS Copyright Form or specify the following
  information in a blanco form:
Conference Name: WSOM 2011, 8th Workshop on
Self-Organizing Maps
Volume Editors: Jorma Laaksonen and Timo Honkela

Materials and instructions for the LNCS series:
All submission will be handled on-line
  with
Microsoft Conference Management Tool (CMT), click here to login!

All submissions have been reviewed by three independent experts
  of the paper's subject area.

For an accepted paper to appear in the WSOM 2011 proceedings, its
presenter must register for the workshop at the time of submission
  of the final camera-ready version.

In the printed proceedings, illustrations are generally black and
white (halftones), and only in exceptional cases, and if the author is
prepared to cover the extra cost for color reproduction, are colored
pictures accepted. Colored pictures are welcome in the electronic
version free of charge. If you include colored figures that are to be
printed in black and white, please make sure that they really are
legible in black and white. Some colors as well as the contrast of
converted colors show up very poorly when printed in black and
white.
