Licensing the research projects

It is recommended that the completed research projects will be released under the GNU Free Documentation License. In practice this means that you should familiarize yourself with the implications of the license and then write to the front page of your work the following text:

Copyright (c) YEAR YOUR NAME.

Permission is granted to copy, distribute and/or modify this document under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.1 or any later version published by the Free Software Foundation; with no Invariant Sections, with no Front-Cover Texts, and with no Back-Cover Texts. A copy of the license is included in the section entitled "GNU Free Documentation License".

If your work contains nontrivial examples of program code, we recommend releasing these examples in parallel under the GNU General Public License or some other Open Source License.

In the spirit of GFDL and GPL we would also appreciate having the source code of your report (i.e. LaTeX or Word files, figures, ...).

Publishing your work under these licenses is in no way mandatory, but it would help e.g. in including your work as part of the future courses.
