KULTA - MODELING AND SIMULATING CHANGING NEEDS OF CONSUMERS

[Suomeksi]

Goals

The KULTA project develops methods that can be used in understanding, conceptualizing and anticipating the changing needs of consumers. The conceptual models of the practice theory are applied to analyze changes in the consumer society.

These models are applied in the context of developing the business models of different kinds of companies. The data gained in this research and developing process are then analyzed and modeled using adaptive informatics methods.

The research is focused on the strategic decision making within companies, and how new modeling techniques can be used in these processes. We also study the usability of the modeling and simulation methods.

The KULTA project is funded by Tekes and collaborators within the Modeling and simulation technology program. The project started in August 2006 and will continue until the end of 2009.
