    • 2.7, 2.8, 2.15, 2.18, 2.21 and 2.23
  • Problems for chapter 3:
    • 3.3 and 3.9
  • Problems for chapter 4:
    • 4.5, 4.7, 4.13 and 4.17
  • Problems for chapter 5:
    • 5.3, 5.5 and 5.7
  • Problems for chapter 6:
    • 6.1 and 6.4
  • Problems for chapter 7:
    • 7.1, 7.4 and 7.6
  • Problems for chapter 8:
    • 8.2, 8.4, 8.6 and 8.7
    • Note: Problem 8.7 is worth two regular problems because of its length
  • Problems for chapter 9:
    • 9.4, 9.6 and 9.8
  • Problems for chapter 11:

The solutions to the exercise problems should be returned by the end of the year 2001. The solutions can be returned by email (preferably PDF or PostScript, absolutely no Windows specific formats!) or in paper format to the assistant. Handwritten solutions are accepted, as long as they are readable.
